Commonweal's Vice-Chair runs the London Marathon for NSPCC

The Commonweal team is pleased to congratulate our Vice-Chair, Russ Edwards, on successfully completing the 2026 London Marathon, raising funds for the UK's leading children's charity, The NSPCC.

Russ ran the 26.2‑mile route in 4 hours and 55 minutes, after months of dedicated training.

The NSPCC - National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children - provides vital support to help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives and protect those at risk.

Russ, a qualified architect and experienced developer, is a longstanding Trustee of the Commonweal Housing Board, joining in 2017 and serving as Vice-Chair since March 2025.
