Our Projects

 Commonweal projects fit into two categories;

 1.  operating role model projects

 2.  research into topics that compliment our objectives.

Role model projects involve Commonweal providing the housing units and working with specialist partners in the fields of housing management, service provision and project evaluation, to create role model examples of solutions to social injustices. For intense focus of attention, these role models generally comprise of no more than 10 houses in one of the London Boroughs and run for a period of seven to ten years.  However, the aim is to establish a proof of concept of a project within three years after which time, Commonweal leads two initiatives stemming from the proof of concept.

The first initiative is to encourage other organisations wherever appropriate (and this can be both in the UK and overseas) to replicate the proof of concept established by Commonweal. We help organisations to replicate our projects if required.

The second initiative involves using the evidence provided throughout our evaluation process to campaign for changes in public policy to resolve the social injustices.
